Louisiana Epiphany Ministry hosted its 34th weekend from March 15-17th at Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe. We served 16 stars over the weekend with a team that consisted of 16 members on the “inside” and 8 members on the “outside”. Stars had a great time playing 3D-4 square, creating art projects, and eating more cookies than you would think is possible. A special thank you to Ernest Young (Lay Director) and Jeff Sanford (Spiritual Director) who helped lead all the Stars to Christ and the team members closer to God through their unfailing service to the team. For those who have served on an Epiphany over the years, I am sorry to report that Kevin Cuccia passed away on Easter (April 21st). He was a faithful member of the Epiphany team and at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Ruston. He had many passions that he shared with the Stars and the community at large. All who knew him will miss his sense of dedication, humor, and acting. Upcoming Events: Epiphany #35 is scheduled for Oct. 25-27th. Training dates are Sept. 7, Sept. 21, and Oct. 12 with an additional training from Swanson TBA. Volunteers are needed to serve on the team, back cookies, pray for the weekend, etc. If you are interested I helping please contact us either through the webpage or email us directly at epiphanyministryoflouisiana@gmail.com. We will be hosting the National Epiphany Board meeting Sept. 27 and 28 in Shreveport. Any team member is welcome to attend the meeting to learn more about the ministry as well as meet fellow Epiphany people. We will share the details once finalized.
